Climate & environment

Systematic environmental responsibility: our climate targets

We have set ourselves ambitious targets aligned with the requirements of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In doing so, we base our actions on the current scientific findings for meeting the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement and limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – with the coffee system in focus

As a provider of coffee systems, we have kept beans, machines and service equally in view for 50 years. This includes high-quality materials, systematic maintenance to extend service life, professional refurbishment for further use, and recycling of the components at the end of the life cycle.

Technical expertise for long-term use

Technical expertise for long-term use

Tchibo Coffee Service Team GmbH is our triple ISO-certified technical expert for our coffee machines and water dispensers. Around 100 technicians support our business customers nationwide, from commissioning to maintenance, ensuring the long-term use of our machines.

We are consistently expanding our Fix-by-Phone service, our guided technical assistance over the phone. The offer pays off three times over: fast solutions for our business customers, efficient route planning for our technicians and lower greenhouse gas emissions for the climate.

Consistent refurbishment

Consistent refurbishment

A team of 23 works in the company's two own workshops to refurbish our used machines. In 2025 alone, around 3,000 machines were thoroughly checked here after the end of their contracts and prepared for a further period of use.

When a machine reaches the end of its operating cycle, it becomes an important source of spare parts for brew units, power boards, control units and steam boilers.
